Den Mäktige Guden, den Högstes Son, ville och steg ner till de ringas land.
Han befriade vårt släkte från plundraren och krossade dödens tagg.
Han reste segerns banér i dödsriket, och döden och Satan blev förundrade.
De sovande i avgrundens djup, fördärvets barn, rördes, ty Han hade kommit med glädjebud till dem.
